Your donations of goods help!

Here you can find more information about donations in kind for our Uganda project. If you would like to learn more or are looking for personal contact, you will find our contact persons in the donations-in-kind team and their e-mail addresses at the very bottom.

Why exactly in-kind donations?

Many tools, equipment and utensils are needed for the training provided by our partner organization CAEVA. Donations in kind usually have lower costs for the donors (e.g. manufacturers or distributors) than for end customers, resulting in a higher value reaching the recipients compared to a monetary donation.

In-kind donations can, of course, be second-hand or B-goods as long as they are still functional. Every single donation in kind helps us to take a step forward and reach our goal: To create new future perspectives for these young adults in Jinja. Because through these donations in kind, the people there can learn and be trained in typical professions.

Why WHUSH, what do we achieve?

WHU Students Help e.V. is the social student initiative of WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. We stand by the statement: "We are Students who want to have a social impact." Which in this case is exactly our goal. We want to actively help on a local, but also - as in this project - on a global level.

What is the Uganda Project?

Together with the organization CAEVA from Jinja, Uganda, we want to make a difference. The topic of education is particularly important to us as students. Unfortunately, however, not everyone enjoys this privilege. The education system in Uganda is very poorly developed. Due to this gap in education, those affected cannot continue their education and usually end up in unemployment and poverty.

In order to help them out of this lack of perspective, CAEVA supports young people who had to drop out of school in learning a profession so that they can escape the cycle of poverty. Ten years ago, they created a program that offers these young adults the opportunity to learn a typical trade (such as carpenter, welder, car mechanic, cook, hairdresser, tailor, etc.) free of charge for 6-9 months. In the process, they teach you practical trades and basic economic skills.

What are the advantages of WHUSH?

With WHUSH you can be sure that 100% of the donations received will be used for their donated purpose. Since we are organized mainly by students, no donations are used for administration. The logistics are also taken care of by a partner company free of charge.

In addition, you benefit from a positive perception of your company among customers and employees, high-impact media for your marketing communications, and the opportunity to deduct donations for tax purposes.
